Left on Monday.. aaanndd I'm back. D:
Nothing much happened on Monday - mainly bonding games (I love you 304), our awesome 304 tree (we better stick it on the classroom wall!!), packing for trekking/land expedition, happy food distribution (very happy indeed) and lunch (sandwiches + nutrition berry bar + sugar bun!) and dinner (rice, chicken wing, veg, fish thing) and supper (green bean soup)!
Hahaha I'm chronicling all this food for worried future OBS-ees :D
Went to see the Medical Nurse some time after dinner, really glad Clarissa and Eunice told me to tell our instructor! (who is moo, by the way, HAHA)
Uh, well basically I had like fever and cough on Thursday, fever disappeared, suddenly got flu, but flu + cough weren't very severe so I went to OBS very happily and Day 1 the supposedly Slackest Of All (except maybe, day 5, if you last that long) worsened everything /:
Like carrying the expedition bag (which is goddamn heavy - bag + attached poncho is already KILLER, add in your happy food, shoes, clothes, mess tins, group food -in some cases, POT-, etc etc) from our lodge area to the multi-purpose hall (WE GOT CAMP 1 BY THE WAY (: OUR LODGE THING (BLOCK SEVEN) HAS ABOUT.. SIX TOILETS? :D) took about 10-15 minutes and partnered with an insanely heavy bag + my cough leaving me breathless-ish was effing scary. Started really being sick after that, breaking out in cold sweat, my hands were like all cold, quite scary /:
Told Moo then he brought me to the medical nurse and the nurse said that I come back after supper and sleep in the medical hall O: Though when I went back there it was FULL HOUSE (there were five beds) very freaky right, so I slept in the tent! (: With Clarissa Eunice SuYun Jaslin, quite comfy-ish apart from the fact that you can't lie on your back or you'll have a Very Sore Tailbone, and if you lie on your side you'll twist your body /:
And some people sweat all night so hair = no point washing in the first place -.- No mosquitos though! (:
Had early breakfast (beehoon + sausage) on my own, then went to the medical nurse place to go see the doctor /: I originally thought they had an in-house doctor who comes in the morning or something, but instead we (cara, trishala, kimberly, yuteng) boated to mainland and took an OBS chartered bus to Sengkang Polyclinic .___.
Waited like a crazy three hours in total for all five to be checked and medicine collected, but it was very good bonding time! (:
Cara-nausea, Kimberly-flu and cough (like me), Trishala- sprained ankle, yunteng-gastric since december O: All of them got 2-day MC which meant no returning back to OBS, but I got a 1-day MC which meant stay overnight at the medical centre, and join them the next day. Which I was quite happy about until I started coughing like shit to the point that I nearly vomited, though I started getting the Cara Feeling (like want to vomit cannot vomit) so I went to ask for a 2-day MC instead /:
This is so lengthy isn't it.

Clarissa for asking me so often if I'm okay, for encouraging me to tell Moo, for walking me to block7 in the dark to get my birth cert, for walking me very carefully up to the tent, for caring, for being my tentmate, for telling me to sleep more in the morning because I'm sick, for collecting my homework on thursday (hahaha thank you again!) and every single thing you've done for me since you met me (: ILYVM THANK YOU! (:
Eunice for asking if I'm okay, for encouraging me to tell Moo, for offering to walk me everywhere, for pointing out roots and everything so Clarissa and I don't trip, for our bagpacking plans, for remembering everything we planned when I forgot hahaha, for being my (almost) rafting partner, for being an awesome tentmate, for letting me sleep more in the morning, etc etc etc I feel like such an invalid omg /:
SuYun thanks for being an awesome tentmate too, for telling everyone to shut up so we could sleep at night, for telling them to shut up too in the morning so I could sleep (that was really sweet (: ), and for scaring me with cockroaches HAHA :D
Jaslin another awesome tentmate! Thanks for wearing shorts with me at night (HAHA), for asking if I'm okay, and don't show me your six-pack! bet you don't have lorr.
Trishala, Cara, Kimberly, YuTeng I have a lot to thank you all for (: Thanks for.. well, being sick with me, for visiting the polyclinic with me, for the complaining together, for the I want to go back to OBS/I want to go home and watch some Oliver person cook/I want to go home and eat my grandmother's cooked food, for our Mini-OBS plans (haven't found any online games yet!), for the pain sharing, medicine (is it working for you yes it's useless right) complaining, number swapping, registration/doctor/pharmacy/payment-waiting, for our consolation attempting (I mean like, we'll probably faint during the hike then our watch members have to carry us on a stretcher! huh there's a stretcher? yeah in the medicine bag! OOH did you play that game?), for pattern finding (omg 303, 304, 305!), for RA-sharing (are you in RA? physics, lit, no, no, are you?), for medicine-taking together (hahaha I thought that was like super fun), for lunch eating (let's treasure our last meal in OBS) for the 2-hour sleep before Trishala, YuTeng and my parents picked us up), for the happy-food picnic (eat la! -finishes two buns- okay this food isn't very happy anymore) AND FOR BEING AWESOME AWESOME :D
And I'm really glad that within one and a half days, we managed to bond with our class AND make new friends (: Definitely a worthy experience, sick or not (:
